This error surfaced in the server system hardware logs – Sensor GPT status has transitioned from normal to non-critical state. It was a system board error on Lenovo ThinkSystem SN850 model.

There is a workaround given in the IBM site if this error keep surfacing when ever the server reboots. Here is the solution:

To prevent the alert messages on each restart, disable the on-board SAS controller at the UEFI:

System Settings –> Devices and I/O Ports –> Enable / Disable on-board device(s) –> SAS Controller

By disabling the on-board SAS, the UEFI firmware will not receive any reports on internal volumes.
